These crescent rolls are filled with a delicious sweet and tangy jam made from dried goldenberries. They are soft, fluffy, and easy to make with basic ingredients you likely already have on hand. Enjoy them fresh from the oven with tea, coffee, or hot chocolate for dipping.
- To a large bowl, add warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Give it a mix.(2 minutes)
- Add the butter, one egg, and flour. Mix it and then knead it to a smooth dough.(5 minutes)
- Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap. Let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.(30 minutes)
- Take the dough out of the bowl onto a floured surface. Divide it in half. Roll each dough out into a large circle, and cut it like a pizza, into eight triangles.(5 minutes)
- Place a tablespoon of goldenberry jam at the base of each triangle. Then wrap the crescent rolls. Place them on a parchment lined baking sheet.(10 minutes)
- Whisk the remaining egg with some water to make an egg wash. Brush the rolls with egg wash, sprinkle with sugar, and bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.(15 minutes)
- Dust with powdered sugar (optional) and enjoy!
