Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie with Quinoa Pop

  • 2 tablespoons of peanut butter (creamy)
  • 2 bananas (frozen)
  • 1/2 cup of almond milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon of ground flax seeds
  • 2 tablespoons of HerbaZest Quinoa Pop (for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon of HerbaZest Cacao Nibs (for garnish; optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of dark chocolate chips (for garnish; optional)

Directions

This creamy and heavenly delicious smoothie is rich in protein, healthy fats, and fiber from peanuts, flax, bananas, and quinoa. Naturally sweet and refreshing, it can be enjoyed as breakfast, a mid-morning snack, or a post-workout boost.

  1. Place the frozen banana, peanut butter, almond milk, ground flaxseed, and vanilla extract in a blender. Process until smooth and creamy. Add more almond milk for a less thick smoothie.(3 minutes)
  2. Pour into a bowl and garnish with quinoa pop (and cacao nibs and dark chocolate chips, if using). You can also melt some dark chocolate and drizzle it over your smoothie.(2 minutes)
  3. Enjoy right away!
