This book is an easy-to-follow guide for identifying 34 herb species, both medicinal and edible, that grow wild in urban or suburban settings. In addition, it also contains plenty of anecdotes and descriptions of the folklore attached to each plant.
About the Author
Maida Silverman is a New York City native and a Pratt Institute graduate. She developed a special interest in botany and herbalism while still young, but her place of residence never allowed her to fulfill the dream of a big garden. She also works as an illustrator for poetry and children's books.
