The National Park Service (NPS) offers information on the wildlife that lives on its national reserves. Many of the National Parks have their own plant guide, which contains details such as an overview of the species, plant lore, and the importance of its conservation.
About the Organization
The NPS is a division of the U.S. Department of the Interior. It was founded in 1916 to preserve the natural beauty and historical heritage sites of the United States. There are over 400 sites in the National Park System, which encompasses around 84.4 million acres of land.
